THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

The subconscious mind is practically an infinite mystery. Unlike our rational and concrete conscious mind, it communicates through images, symbols, and patterns. Join if you're drawn to the magic and mystery of the subconscious mind.

What is the Subconscious Mind and How Does it Work?

We have two parts of our minds; the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The conscious mind works with rational thought and attempts to understand. If I were to ask you what your favorite color was, you'd give me an answer. See, that's your conscious mind talking. You're aware of what you're saying and doing. The subconscious mind, on the other hand, works with images, symbols, patterns, and already understands (even in its own way). When someone is learning how to drive, they must focus on what exactly they're doing so they can register the whole process. They can't have any distractions, such as trying to hold a conversation with the person next to them—yet! They'll get used to driving so much that they'll find that they can finally talk and navigate at the same time!
Now, when I asked you what your favorite color was, why are you attracted to that particular color? Have you ever thought about it? Let's say you said orange. Because of this, you are a warm, outgoing soul who prefers to take center stage and make the best entertaining performance. Your subconscious mind picks up on the meanings of the color due to its shade and vibrancy and associates it with you since you connect with the same traits.
Not only can you find out more about yourself (personality, talents, destiny, etc.) just through colors, but also through the rest of your affinities, imagination, and dreams. Dreams are especially a way for the subconscious to communicate with you. Dreams are to usually be looked at symbolically, not literally. Researching dream symbols can be helpful, but keep in mind that it all comes down to what you perceive a particular symbol to represent since that is how the subconscious mind works.
