Wheat can have dramatic effects on the brain, Scientist found while studying schizophrenic patients, that when deprived of wheat, the symptoms subsided, in a study of numerous patients deprived of wheat, in four weeks patient’s had distinct and measurable improvements, such as auditory hallucinations, delusions, and detachment from reality issues the symptoms had subsided so much that these patients were able to function in a social environment like never had before, physicians found that adding the wheat back into the diet the symptoms returned and got worse, the most distinct case was a 70-year-old schizophrenic woman described by Duke University doctors as suffering delusions hallucinations, and numerous suicidal attempts, after removing wheat completely from her diet she experienced a complete relief from the psychosis and suicidal desires within eight days, in another comprehensive study involving 55 autistic children, the removal of gluten diminished symptoms of autism, removal of wheat is also shown reduction in ADHD hypertension hyperactivity and diabetes. It is unlikely that wheat exposure was initial cause of these disorders but wheat was definitely associated with making the symptoms worse “The wheat belly book”
